I'm Renato. I'm a digital strategist and business systems architect. I'm also a lifelong learner. I believe in changing how people work and use technology.
My journey into the digital world began with a gift from my father. He gave me a computer, which opened a whole new world for me. Then a friend gave me a mysterious CD-ROM filled with software I barely understood.
I explored many programs and chose to focus on Corel Draw, Flash, and FrontPage instead of playing games. My limited English at the time didn't help much, but it didn't stop me.
That curiosity sparked a passion that has driven my entire career.
Since 2003, my 22-year journey has been about building systems that solve real problems. I began as a front-end developer and designer. I was drawn to the mix of code and user experience. This hands-on experience taught me how digital systems work in real life, not just in theory.
Over time, I shifted from building interfaces to architecting technical infrastructures as a CTO. Later, I moved on to design and implement business operations as a COO. Each role built on the last. This gave me a unique view. I see how business strategy, technical work, and daily operations must fit together.
My journey from coding to leadership means I don't just execute tasks or recommend business systems. I can also design and implement them. Most strategists can do one or the other. Few can do both.
Every decision in my career has come down to one key question: how can I create systems that have positive impact at scale? This mindset helps me focus on projects that help people and organizations. It allows them to work better, achieve more, and grow.
n 2012, I teamed up with my business partner Rafael. Together, we co-founded Startaê, one of Brazil's first remote digital product studios. At Startaê, we focused on creating strong culture and providing great service to companies. We did well with our product and operations. We created solutions that improved people's lives. However, we weren't as strong as we could have been in marketing, sales, and business processes.
This experience showed us that great products and culture aren't enough. You also need systems in every part of the business.
In 2017, we saw an opportunity to help other companies build these systems so they could have great culture and management in hybrid or remote operations. I co-founded Officeless to address this need, but faced a different challenge: building an online education and consultancy business that could serve thousands of professionals at once. This new business model made me explore marketing systems, sales processes, and operations.
With Officeless, I learned to create marketing funnels that convert. I learned to automate sales processes that scale. I learned to build educational systems that support over 50,000 professionals without needing more manual work. I spoke at over 50 events. We hosted live streams, made online courses, and joined podcasts. Each needed a clear plan for creating content, building an audience, and improving conversions.
The contrast between the two companies was clear. Startaê showed me the power of great service and culture. Officeless taught me how to scale marketing, sales, and operations. Together, they helped me understand how to create business systems for all company functions.
Both companies weren't just business ventures. They were proof points for building business systems that create lasting impact. Each success taught me more about creating systems that work across different industries, team sizes, and business models.
As a lifelong learner, I believe in:
My approach to both life and work is deeply influenced by stoicism, emphasizing:
Health isn't just a hobby for me. It's a key part of who I am. I believe in taking care of both body and mind through active living and learning. My wellness routine includes:
One of my favorite escapes is Chapada dos Veadeiros, where I connect with nature and recharge my energy. These outdoor experiences help me keep perspective and balance in our busy digital world.
My cooking journey began during my 2008 Australian adventure. What started as a necessity became a hobby, thanks to Jamie Oliver's cooking app. Today, cooking serves as both a creative outlet and a way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I approach it like I do with technology: master the basics, then improve and make it your own.
While I love creating digital experiences, my greatest achievement is my family.
I'm blessed with over 17 years of marriage to Patricia, my partner in life's adventures. Our lives changed when our miracle, Rebeca, joined us three years ago. Our chocolate and white Border Collie, Nina, completes our family with her energy and love. They are my foundation and inspiration for everything I do.
My journey wouldn't be possible without the love and support of my roots.
I'm grateful to my father, Nelson, whose entrepreneurial spirit and courage to take risks inspired my own business journey. That first computer he gave me didn't just spark my passion for technology. It opened the door to many possibilities. His example taught me that with hard work and vision, we can create our own path in life.
My sister Andreia continues to be a source of strength and companionship through life's adventures.
And to my mother, Lazara, who left us for heaven in 2023. Your love, wisdom, and teachings continue to guide me. You taught me the values that shape who I am, and your legacy lives on in everything I do. Though you're no longer with us, your light continues to shine through our family, especially in Rebeca's smile, reminding us of your love and the importance of family bonds.
Today, I continue exploring how technology, business strategy, and people connect.
Whether I'm designing marketing operations systems, implementing business processes, or building the technical infrastructure that makes it all work, I bring the same enthusiasm and attention to detail that started with that first computer exploration.
The goal remains the same: building business systems that help people and organizations achieve more than they thought possible.
I'm always excited to connect with fellow innovators, entrepreneurs, and anyone passionate about the future of work, health, or continuous learning.
